The new GS has an overmolded, color accent coordinated front rubber grip and rubber grip panel that is a nice, supple rubber but still tough and tear-resistant. The trigger has seemingly gotten more ergonomic, and the grips are a HUGE improvement from the previous generation–and each new model comes with a color coordinated front\rear grip set. The feedneck has been updated to the Empire Sniper-style feedneck, which is less prone to breaking–it uses a threaded stem that engages in the body, and then a collar-style QD cam-lock feedneck that clamps over the stem. The Mini GS now comes stock with a flip-lever, self-venting on\off ASA. Slimmed down, easy access back-cap, also color-coordinated. Revised barrel milling, one piece, 14″ barrel. Before using a paintball grenade, it’s a good idea to get to know exactly how your grenade operates. A lot of the paint grenades available are made with surgical tubing materials that are filled with paint, which are folded and clipped at the end. When you unclip the end of the grenade, the tube will begin to bounce frantically and shoot paint in all different directions.
Using your grenade properly:
1. Make sure you get close enough to your opposite team, especially when there are multiple opposing team members standing close to each other. The farther away, the harder the aim; along with other variables that go into to getting a precise hit.
2. Now, you want to pull the pin on the grenade and throw it towards your opponents so it lands very close to them, preferably in the center of where they’re standing. Then be on the lookout with your paintball gun ready to tag anyone that’s trying to get away from the grenade. This is a great way to tag your opponents if they haven’t been tagged already as they will surely be in a state of shock.
3. You can also ask the referee to do a quick paint check if your opponents didn’t call it when you tagged them with the grenade. Sometimes players might not know they were tagged because grenades don’t provide the same impact that paintball guns do, so there is a good chance hit players never even felt the blow.
Use your grenades wisely, as they can be a bit pricey if you are using them too often.
You can add a new dimension and a lot of fun to your scenario game with the use of paintball grenades.

Key features include the Tippmann proven inline bolt system, adaptable air system, performance adjustability and an authentic M4/AR style. The M4 Carbine features a realistic flip-top break down design like a true M4/AR. Its versatile air system uses either a 12g CO2 cartridge in the 80 round magazine, or the built-in remote line. It’s also compatible with airsoft’s standard magazines, from 30 to 300 rounds. The M4 Carbine has a metal receiver, and is compatible with many actual M4/AR components including a rear stock, front shroud and standard Picatinny Rail System.
The Tippmann M4 Carbine is adjustable to match each player’s needs and style of play. The rate of fire can range from semi-auto to 20 rounds per second full-auto, using an air assisted trigger design that does not require batteries. Velocity can be adjusted up to 400 feet per second and can be equipped with a velocity adjustment lock. The inner sleeved barrel is airsoft standard (aftermarket compatible) with adjustable hop up. An armorer’s wrench is included for for barrel changes. Other features include Tippmann’s proven in-line bolt system with anti-jam technology, flip up front and rear sights and modular 8 sided Picatinny fore grip. Releasing this summer from Tippmann Paintball is the new Tippmann Mag Fed Tactical Complete Rifle(TCR). Ultimate Paintball will have this marker as soon as Tippmann has them made and ready to ship! The new Tactical Compact Rifle or TCR, is designed as a versatile, reliable and affordable magfed option for the serious magfed player. The four key features include a versatile magazine system of three mags, two air sources, a compact modular design and the ability to convert into a standard hopper feed marker. The Tippmann Magfed TCR is built on the already successful TiPX platform and utilizes the Tru-Feed 7-Ball magazine, a new Tru-Feed 12-ball extended magazine that is First Strike compatible, and the popular 20-round Zetamag. The unique, easy access cam-locking system for 12g CO2 cartridges allows one handed loading from the left or right side, hidden behind the Picatinny rails. In addition, it also comes with a factory installed drop-down remote-line adapter.
The design also features a modular stock for future upgrades to an air-in-stock design. The TCR has a compact military, realistic look that is easy to upgrade with four Picatinny rails and modular components, for further customization. It also includes folding front and rear sights, a folding vertical front grip and an 11” high performance barrel. Finally, for the ultimate in versatility, the TCR can be converted to use a standard hopper feed for non-magfed play. It truly is the most versatile magfed marker available today and is backed by Tippmann’s unrivaled 2 year Warranty and customer service. The new TCR comes complete with a 7-ball and 12-ball extended magazine and will be available later this year.
Now in stock and ready to ship from Ultimate Paintball is the Planet Eclipse Etek 4 AM and Etek 4 LT ! New 3D machining with sleek lines. The Body has an integrated male FRM the same as Ego11 and Geo2 to accept the SL3 Regulator. Internally and performance-wise, the exact same regulator that can be found
THE ETEK4 NOW INCLUDES ITS OWN ANGLED REG SWIVEL…on the Ego11, CSL and Geo2.1. It allows the Etek4 to run with HP, MP or LP tanks without the need to alter settings and inline regulator adjustments. It has a replaceable and reversible main seal as well as self-purging feature to leave the firing chamber de-gassed after tank removal. Similar to those seen on the Geo2.1 and Ego11, the Etek4 now includes its own angled reg swivel. The new OOPS combines a low profile, ultra-easy on/off/purge function and front-mounted hose exit. As with all Eclipse markers since 2007 the Etek4 utilizes the T-Slot Rail. The Etek4 will also accept a POPS ASA.
The incredibly successful Zick2 kit is now to be found as standard on the Etek4. The Etek4 kit utilizes a unique rammer cap to work with the Etek4 rammer housing. Like the full-fat Shaft4 barrel, the Etek4 barrel utilizes a 2-piece, reverse threaded construction with a longer rear control bore for increased efficiency and consistency. The barrel is internally finished identically to the Geo and Ego Shaft4 barrel but features simplified external machining. The rear bore is honed to 0.693″ diameter and both front and backs are compatible with Shaft4 Boost Kits and Tips. The feed is offset to one side by a small amount. This prevents the balls that tumble into the breech from bouncing excessively and causing breaks and chops. Again carried over from the Ego range, the Etek4 now has a Cure bolt as standard, as well as a body-contoured cut at the rear so the bolt blends seamlessly into the marker body. The Cure bolt helps the Etek4 to shoot the most fragile of tournament grade paints without worry of breaks due to the bolt clipping paintballs in the feed stack. The Etek4 will accept Cure3+ and Cure4 upgrade bolts. The Etek4 Minifold mounts the ever-faithful SMC solenoid directly to the marker body, directly adjacent to the rammer. There is just a single hose taking the LP air from the LPR to the Minifold where it is filtered for added protection against debris. With the same LPR found on the Ego11 and CSL, the Etek4 offers precise control of LPR pressure, without the risk of accidental over-pressurization of the solenoid or rammer. The Trigger rides in a self-lubricating trigger holder that clips neatly into the frame. This, combined with the magnetic trigger return mechanism, creates a smooth, positive trigger feel. It is adjustable for fore and aft stop as well as magnetic return strength. Using the same components and software as the Ego BBSS system, the Etek4 ensures that the marker excels at preventing chopped balls in the breech. When enabled, the Etek4 will only fire once a ball has loaded into the breech. If the BBSS system sees any kind of fault, the software automatically overrides the system and the marker continues to fire at a greatly reduced rate. These 3 clever LEDs allow easy programming of all the user definable parameters by greatly simplifying the programming process. The top LED indicates 10s of units, the middle displays 1s and the bottom shows 0.1 increments. Etek4 has user-definable settings for Dwell, Ball-in-Place, Eyes-Off ROF, Capped ROF (un-capped in Semi 1), Debounce, and Firing Mode. As standard the Etek4 has the capability to be set to cover every tourney regulation. The Etek4 grips follow the same design as the Geo and Ego grips. Comfortable, slim, grippy and soft. The Etek4 LT utilizes glass-reinforced impact resistant composite parts for the frame, eye cover, feedtube and OOPS knob. All other materials are the same high grade alloys found in the Geo and Ego range of markers. The Etek4 AM is of an All Metal construction that replaces all of the above composite parts with machined alloy parts.
Purchasing a paintball gun is a bit like buying a car. Do you want slick and fast? How about large and powerful? The same considerations hold true with paintball guns.
There are as many different styles of play in paintball as there are personalities, as well as different setups for paintball guns. Will your style require an electronic trigger and loader to increase the rate of fire? Will you plan on spending most of your time waiting for that “perfect shot,” which would require greater accuracy? Matter of fact, how is your accuracy, depending upon where you are shooting from?
There are many paintball guns pre-packaged or pre-designed for specific positions or shooting types, but they’ll be more expensive than the base model, since they’ll include the necessary upgrades for the look and function of that style. If you don’t have a large budget, keep your style in mind and be sure to ask about possible upgrades.

It may be a hard fact to swallow when your team realizes that it is time to retreat, but in certain scenarios it is an unavoidable tactic. If you find your team in a situation where withdrawal is the best possible option, there are numerous ways to execute a successful retreat.
Strategize a plan:
The whole team must be ready to go to a common safe area if it is necessary to retreat. Determine a place, or multiple places, that provides enough cover to protect the entire team. It’s a good idea to move closer to the assisted team members in order to more readily obtain help. Your assist units should be concealed prior to the start of the game so the opposing team will not have any idea where the players are heading.
Move with a plan:
to repeat, strategize! Retreating does not necessarily mean rushing to safety. While retreating is certainly a defensive move, it is essential to stay alert. While retreating makes certain that the opposing paintball players have much more restricted access to your players, it’s up to the whole squad to take turns in returning fire for cover.
While there is still room for control, end the retreat:
not when the whole team can no longer be shot but when there’s still a chance to fight the opponent. It’ll be harder when the enemies cannot be seen because the damage they could inflict is much worse.
There are special occasions when a team retreats just to lure the enemies into a trap. By keeping the paintball team together and drawing back, it might give the opponent the feeling they are already winning, resulting in false confidence and ultimately more vulnerable to attack. Once the assisting unit is behind you, utilize speed and shoot the enemies.
NOTE: Being fired at during a paintball game is not to be used as a reason to retreat. It could be a good chance to change stations and use the advantage for better cover. It might be good to retreat in order to mess up the enemy’s strategies.
